What does A.Y. Jackson Offer Students?
The school's programs emphasize the acquisition of learning skills as well as academic content between the Grades 10 - 12. Technology is successfully integrated into the curriculum of the school, through the use of networked computer systems. As a result, students demonstrate sophisticated research and presentation skills.
A.Y. Jackson welcomes students from all over the world. Its international program involves opportunities for exchanges with students from Japan, Taiwan, Mexico, and France.
Global Awareness and Community Service is a school-wide program that fosters personal wellness, environmental consciousness and promotes local and global citizenship. Extra-curricular programs such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Volunteer Club, and the United Nations Club focus the students on the need to make contributions and to become involved in the community and the society beyond school.
Cross-Cultural Communication Through Japanese offers interdisciplinary program in business and Japanese (one credit).

More About A.Y. Jackson
Jackson Students involved in mathematics, sciences and computer sciences have an outstanding record of success in national and international contests, e.g. the International Chemistry Olympiad, Euclid Mathematics Competition, Canadian Mathematics Olympiad, Sir Isaac Newton Physics Contest, and The University of Toronto Biology Competition.
Programs in peer-tutoring, peer-counseling, and co-operative education offer students opportunities to develop valuable skills outside the classroom.
Research skills are developed through the use of library facilities, independent study projects and fully networked computer labs.
The school also offers a broad range of co-curricular programs and activities in the areas of athletics, performing and visual arts, student clubs, and interest groups. Significant leadership opportunities exist through these student initiatives and school-wide events.
